News: Stone Aerospace Opens Hawaii Office

15 January 2007:

Stone Aerospace is pleased to announce it has opened a new wholly owned subsidiary office, called Stone Aerospace–Hawaii (SAH), in Oahu, Hawaii. SAH will focus on business opportunities and technology development in the Pacific Rim region with special emphasis in ocean engineering and system development as well as maritime operations in the Hawaiian Islands. SAH has core competencies in rapid prototyping of manned and unmanned undersea/underwater vehicular systems for a broad range of military, scientific and commercial applications. To jumpstart operations, SAH will be developing a new, ultra long-endurance, autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) system for mine countermeasures in the littoral surf zone. Dr. Richard Pyle has been appointed as the Managing Director of the new office.
