AUV Propulsion Controller

We design, build, integrate, and test custom thruster control systems for fiber-tethered and autonomous undersea vehicles. We can design-build to any ocean pressure rating. Features include local power management (boosting or dropping input supply voltage to match ideal thruster input at high current loads); independent smart thruster controllers for any number of thrusters; RS485 or Ethernet communications I/O to the primary vehicle System Executive; Power monitoring; onboard leak detection monitoring. Torque and RPM mode control. The designs we have developed are not restricted to AUVs. Similar distributed smart power control can be adapted for electric UGV and UAV use.
