Leak Detector, Digital and Analog I/O,
and Relay System for AUVs

In every autonomous subsea vehicle, particularly those with modern architectures involving distributed subsea control, actuation, and sensing systems, there are common “utilities” needs that arise.

 

We have developed a COTS AUV utility card that solves many of these problems in one compact PCB. The Stone Aerospace LDPCB is a microprocessor controlled system containing the following on-card features:

  • leak detection through relative humidity sensing
  • 4 12-bit resolution analog inputs
  • 2 Form-A 10A relays
  • 5 CMOS compatible digital outputs
  • 2 Form-C 3A relays
  • 2 8-bit resolution analog outputs
  • 2 open-collector outputs
  • 2 logic outputs
  • RS485 communications link to host computer (up to 16 boards may be placed on the same link)
